Sometimes you need a little push…

Saturday night I had a dinner party. It was inspired by Ed calling me out on my lameness. About 2yrs ago I went to Thailand with Julie and we took a cooking class there. The gay Thai dude that taught us was impeccably organized with notebooks and photographs so that we could replicate what we learned upon return to the United States. I came back loaded with inspiration, my status as domestic goddess had just been elevated. I bought a mortar and pestle, we’re talking from scratch, and it sat in my cupboards for 2 yrs collecting dust. Hence the lameness…

The menu was fresh spring rolls and Penang Curry, and I do have to say that even I was impressed with myself. Cuz not only did it turn out but it tasted super yummy. I take a little credit, but I think it helped that I went to South East Asia Market and loaded up on fresh herbs and vegetables. It was fun, and I feel cool.
