Where do the hours go?
I think that one of the signs that you are getting old is that you are at a loss for time. I think this urgency increases as you get older, for instances when you are 90 time left on this earth is a limiting factor (ignoring the frail state of your body) in the things you choose to do. You might consider sailing around the world but who knows if you will finish without becoming fish food. My situation is a little less extreme, I don’t plan on sailing around the world, or at least around the Caribbean until I’m 36, you’ve still got a lot of life left at 36.
My urgency is more in all the everyday little things that need to be done and followed up on to make sure all the dumb people of the world did them correctly. How did Darwin fail and why are there so many idiots out there?
Winter is coming, which means shorter days and longer nights which might explain why I feel like there is less time, cuz in fact there is less day light each day. Winter also means blue bird powder days, the kind where the air is chilly, the reflection of the sun from the snow blinds and you can feel all the fluffy goodness under your skis and in your face. We haven’t had a good snow storm since Oct 21st, but I’m praying to the snow gods for several in the coming weeks.
Winter also means that my casa is open for business. Visitors, lots of visitors: huge pots of chili or vodka pasta, rum cake, red wine and card games. Bagel egg sandwiches on the go (with smoked Gouda, so good) and Bailey’s (the fake kind cuz after all I am Polish) and coffee in the mornings.

Snow storms already?!? I'm looking forward to joining in the winter goodness at your house. By the way, what are your New Years plans?
Katie (friend from Chicago) and her boyfriend Daz are flying in New Year's Eve and staying for a 4 days for the greatest snow on earth!!
