Brett Favre

So if you haven't heard (please crawl from under your rock) Brett Favre is coming out (no he's not gay) of retirement, apparently days in Mississippi are long and boring. So Brett Favre is basically the reason that I love football, though I really don't think it would be fun for him to get traded to a sucky team to get beat up. I'm also very disappointed in Packers management, look this guy took the Pack to NFL Playoffs and lost to the Champion NY Giants and now they are offering him 20 million to stay away. Now I'm not a genius but thats not how you treat your people. Other thoughts, tsk on Brett. He's got this huge (and I mean the biggest ever) lifted with huge tires (I hope they are Yokohama) truck, and I know he doesn't haul anything. Brett perhaps you haven't heard America is dependent on foreign oil and its cuz of people like you.

Saddest Dog Ever

Last week Daisy got herself a little infection that came to a huge vet bill and agonizing torture from the cone. This week she is back to being the cutest dog ever. By the way people didn't say she was cute when she had a gross nose so I know that they are being honest.

Couch Update

I got it, though riding my bike threw a blizzard might have been easier. First there was the tanker crash, that had traffic backed up for hours. I must mention that I can't run my air conditioning in my Jeep if my car isn't moving or else it over heats, its was 101 after work yesterday. Just one of the reasons I hate traffic. Next the dust storm, followed by intermittent showers, and a brush fire in City Creek Canyon added to the drama. But all in all the couch looks so good at my place, Daisy hasn't gotten on it yet. I plan on checking up on the couch over lunch.

taking up a collection...

I watched this news feature story about someone posing as a homeless person at the end of an exit ramp, supposedly they collected hundreds. I want this couch.

I found it on Craigslist for $400, I think I should almost get based on the fact that its such a sweet deal. I think couches are very important, my last one, I saved for for months and rode my bike through a blizzard on Martin Luther King day in Chicago to get. Only to learn that it wouln't arrive till May, guess boats travel extra slow from Italy. This couch I could have as soon as I nagged Pat into driving up to Kaysville and I'd only have to not eat out and drink nothing but YellowTail for the next 2 months. Dude, I could get a couch and go on a diet all because my budget makes is necessary. Plus in the 2 months spent at home I could teach Daisy couch is off limits and finish my kitchen. Plus I know that this couch is most wonderful because Ami has already tested it, and it resists stains from red wine, you got to watch out for that YellowTail. Closet and couch, 2 upgrades in one month. I really need that job at Goldman.

4th of July Weekend

Fourth of July was spent in the Uintas Mtns, sans fireworks but with a campfire and smores. We actually hiked 13 miles to a lake nestled at the foot of a mountain ridge. We (Ami, Chris, Anna and BJ) camped in Christmas Meadows, my all time favorite place to camp. I was very pleased at the opportunity to share it with everyone, cut by the Bear River the meadows are dotted with pretty wild flowers.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I finally made the journey to San Diego, after all Luka$z has only lived there for 3 yrs. Pat couldn't believe that it had taken me this long, I joked and said it was on purpose so that Luka$z would be extra nice. And extra nice he was awesome hospitality. Though the best part was hanging out with D, aka Cookie, who I'm pleased to welcome to our cirlce of polacks. After the wedding she will be half polish, or so we like to think.
