It's all coming together..(my life, not the kitchen)

Des Moines was fabulous we carried the camera around with us the whole time and didn't take a single picture. Friday we got into town and I gave Pat a tour of the house I grew up in, my high school and the West Des Moines TJ Maxx where we found a fabulous V neck sweater that Pat agreed to and some lounge pants that I approve of. I'm slowly working over his closet. We then proceeded to Allie' moms (Kris) and step dad's (Ken) for ribs, cuz really what else do you eat in the state of Iowa but pork. Saturday was Iowa and Purdue game and the wedding. We went to Sully's were everyone was super friendly dispite the fact that Pat was from Purdue. The ceremoney was very touching, McB was a ravishing bride and then Sunday we were off to UT again but could not stop talking about how cool my friends are and how cute Marcy's and Marty's kid is. I hope Pat and I are that lucky. Speaking of which Allie told me so simmer down, not that I can scare Pat away at this point but just piss him off, which I did with the hickie I gave him on Monday night, whoops I really didn't mean too. Also luck, though I think it was more about skill, I caught the flowers at the wedding. Pat and I were laughing about it and he suggested that there be a commercial with TO, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Deshayne Jackson, etc and me. Who you think would come out with the ball? Polak Potrafi.

MIA

I can't wait for the kitchen to be done. Today all the things we pay people to do should be finished and Pat and I can start doing our part. I'm kind of worried we haven't been working in synch these last couple days, I think its only cuz this project has lastest forever. I can't wait to move back home.

Last night Jason and his boyfriend came by to pick up Pat's old couch and my TV and stand. I know its only stuff but I sort of feel its more real now. I can't tell Pat to get rid of all his crap and then tell him maybe its not a good idea that he move in. Not that I still don't think its a good idea, I just don't feel like I've had any myself time lately. Mostly cuz we are dealing with kitchen crap all the time. I can't wait for things to settle down to normal again.

I didn't get the job at the greatest firm on Wall Street, they want to fish my out to other hiring managers which is great but I'm in negative vacation hours and can't really take 3 hour lunches.

This weekend Pat and I are flying to Des Moines (hence the kitchen cleaning and installation won't begin till next week.) for McB's wedding. The high on Saturday is 37 and very windy. All of a sudden 100 and humid sounds so much better.
