Okay.....

First bag is finished and I even took it on a few trial runs to the grocery store before I mail it off to Julie in Dubai. Julie gets the first one cuz she gave me the initial one that turned out to be the inspiration for all to come. So I took it on trial runs for 2 reasons; I wanted to make sure that it didn't fall apart and its so cute I just wanted to show it off. By the way big hit, I'm hoping to do more sewing tonight.

Pat and I made our guest list last weekend, its been finalized so that we can start looking at reception spaces. I have a few in mind. I've gone to my second confirmation class, by next week it will be half over and I'm on my way to becoming a full Catholic, even registered at the Cathedral. We've also set a date, February 13th, 2010. I think I'm gonna have red roses for my flower. The dress is harder, below is the one I like right now, though its pricey but if I can make enough money in the stock market and it fits well then I feel entitled to it. Plus my boobies are way bigger than the models so I feel like it would look better on me. I just have to figure out when it would go on sale.

Sweat Shop(not sure if its one word or two) Labor

We ordered the oilcloth on Saturday. We is me and the dumbchick. The dumbchick is Indian, hence the title of the post. She is having ACL surgery, as she tore her's a few weeks ago with me at the Bird. It has actually been sort of eye opening and a bit scary, she wasn't skiing very fast, it wasn't on very steep stuff, and it wouldn't of been a very bad fall had it not been for the ACL. I was out this Sunday and was extra cautious as the snow warmed up in the afternoon and turned to slush. We are hoping the goods get here for week 2 of short term disability. If the first bags look good the dumbchick can sew for a whole week. I'm wondering if work would notice I I brought in a sewing machine the second half of the month. I really have nothing to do.

Time to get my Martha Stewart Back on

Martha is of Polish heritage, so I'm inclined to think that its in my blood. I've been so bored at work lately, and there are babies everywhere in SLC. We have a really nice farmers market just a few blocks from my place. Pretty random.. I've decided to give my sewing skills a go one more time, but this time I think I'm going to try to make easier things. Save the earth grocery totes and baby bibs for all my pregnant friends.

To the right is my oilcloth of choice. I think it would be extra cute to add a little gingham pocket on the bib.

I've even found this pattern
